PATIENT #1
The patient had been seeing his old dentist for many years until he retired. If something broke they fixed it, but otherwise they just watched old fillings chip, crack and break down to the point of peril. We first restored all of the failing fillings and treated all of the decay. Then we treated the old crowns with leaking margins and broken porcelain that were no longer functioning well. Lastly we restored the front teeth to last for the rest of his life. Its not a Hollywood white smile, but it is a natural smile that suits this gentlemen.
PATIENT #2
The patient always felt that her smile was tipped and crowded and out of sync with her beautiful face. We chose Damon braces to straighten her smile in about a year. If we used aligner therapy it would have taken much longer. We expanded the arches to accept all of the teeth in their full size and we did some bonding on the upper front teeth to close small spaces and give the patient the fabulous smile she deserves.
PATIENT #3
This patient was shy about sharing her smile. She was embarrassed about how it just didn't look right. Not only were teeth very crowded, but there was one front tooth trapped on the palate behind her other top teeth. She did not like how her front teeth did not line up with the middle of her face. Many orthodontists would have extracted 2 teeth on the upper and 2 teeth on the lower to correct the crowding and shrink the upper and lower jaws, but here at Smiles by Holsinger and Higgins we believe that people are healthier is we regain what mother nature had intended and expand the upper and lower jaws to make room for all of the teeth. She had 2 phase treatment. The first was expansion and the second was Damon braces (for about a year). Yuliana now loves her beautiful smile.
